Planting 20 Trees for 20 Years of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Regime
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Anti-Money Laundering and Prevention of Terrorism Financing regime in Indonesia. PPATK and
stakeholders who are members of the APU PPT regime carry out tree planting in 20 locations spread across various locations throughout
Indonesia. One of the selected locations is the PPATK environment which is located in Ciloto, Cianjur Regency.
The implementation of these activities also invited PPATK stakeholders and the Cianjur Regency government. The event was attended by
representatives of the Cianjur Regent, Head of the Cianjur High Prosecutor's Office, Chairman of the Cianjur District Court, Deputy Head
of Cianjur Police, Dandim 0608 Cianjur and all Echelon I and II officials within the PPATK.
The activity was opened by the Head of PPATK, Mr. Ivan Yustiavandana. In the opening he said "20 years of the APU PPT Regime is time to
re-strengthen cooperation among stakeholders in eradicating money laundering and preventing terrorism financing, considering the typology
of money laundering and terrorism financing continues to develop, therefore, as reporting parties, law enforcement officers, supervisory
agencies and regulators and professions must be one step ahead of the perpetrators of money laundering and terrorism financing, all
activists of the APU PPT regime need to have a vision for the future by utilizing increasingly advanced technological developments and

The planting of 20 trees in the PPATK Ciloto building was symbolically planted by planting 3 trees, the first tree was symbolically
planted by the Head of PPATK together with the Deputy Chief of Police of Cianjur, the second tree was symbolically planted by the
Main Secretary, Plt. Deputy for Prevention, Dandim 0608 Cianjur and Head of the Cianjur High Court, and the third tree was symbolically
planted by Plt. Deputy for Eradication, Representatives of the Regent of Cianjur, Chairman of the Cianjur District Court and Head of
the APU PPT Education and Training Center.

In addition, this activity also signed the transfer of the management of the Ciloto Building from what was previously managed by the
PPATK Head Office to the APU PPT Education and Training Center. The signing was officially carried out before the expanded Leadership
Meeting activities were also carried out in a series of tree planting activities in the framework of the 20 years of the APU PPT regime.
This activity was held to strengthen the cooperation of agencies and stakeholders who are members of the APU PPT regime. The
strengthening of the AML-CFT regime needs to be improved continuously considering the challenges of eradicating money laundering
and preventing the financing of terrorism. (MMF)
